This day is for you to relax, acclimatize to the Tanzanian air, and prepare for the incredible days ahead. Arusha, nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, is the vibrant gateway to the northern safari circuit.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Experience: After breakfast, you'll meet your professional guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is famously known for its massive elephant herds and the majestic, ancient baobab trees that dot its landscape. The Tarangire River is the lifeblood of the park, attracting vast numbers of wildlife during the dry season. Enjoy a full day of game drives, spotting lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, wildebeest, and a spectacular variety of birds.

· Accommodation: Marera Valley Lodge

  · Perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, this lodge offers stunning panoramic views. The tranquil setting and comfortable accommodations provide a perfect retreat after a day of exploration.

Day 3: Karatu to Northern Serengeti (Serengeti National Park)

  · Experience: Today, you journey towards the world-famous Serengeti. After an early start, you'll drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying breathtaking views from the crater's rim. You will then enter the Serengeti and continue your drive towards the north, the stage for the dramatic Wildebeest Migration river crossings (typically from July to October). Your game drive en route to camp is your first taste of the Serengeti's endless plains.

· Accommodation: Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp

  · This classic, mobile tented camp is strategically located in the Northern Serengeti to offer front-row seats to the migration action. It provides an authentic safari experience with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, and the sounds of the wild right outside your door.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drives at the Mara River

  · Experience: This entire day is dedicated to one of nature's greatest spectacles. You will spend your time along the banks of the Mara and Talek rivers, searching for massive herds of wildebeest and zebra gathering at the water's edge. With patience and a bit of luck, you may witness the heart-pounding chaos of a river crossing, where thousands of animals brave the crocodile-infested waters in a desperate surge for fresh grazing.

· Accommodation: Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp

  · Return to the comfort of your camp to relive the day's thrilling sightings over a sundowner and a delicious bush dinner.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley)

  · Experience: After a final morning game drive in the north, you will journey south towards the Central Serengeti, also known as the Seronera region. This area is known for its rich, year-round wildlife and stunning kopjes (ancient granite rock formations). The drive itself is a game drive, offering opportunities to see predators like lions and cheetahs, as well as vast plains game.

· Accommodation: Serengeti Kisura Tented Camp

  · A charming and intimate tented camp located in a prime wildlife area. Enjoy the blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, often from your own private veranda overlooking the plains.

Day 6: Full-Day Game Drives in Central Serengeti

  · Experience: Explore the diverse ecosystems of the Central Serengeti. The Seronera River Valley is a wildlife hotspot, supporting a high density of leopards, lions, and cheetahs. Your guide will take you to the most productive areas, searching for wildlife around the rivers and kopjes. You'll also visit the Serengeti Visitor Centre, which offers fascinating insights into the park's ecosystem.

· Accommodation: Serengeti Kisura Tented Camp

  · Enjoy your last evening in the Serengeti, listening to the nocturnal sounds of the African bush under a canopy of stars.

Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Tour, then to Arusha for Departure

  · Experience: You begin your final day with an early breakfast before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. This natural amphitheater is teeming with wildlife, including the rare black rhino, lions, elephants, and large herds of flamingos on the soda lake. After an unforgettable morning of crater game viewing, you will begin your journey back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
