Day 1: Journey to the Misty Mountains

Your adventure begins as you are collected from Kigali and driven through the stunning terraced hillsides of Rwanda, crossing into Uganda towards the legendary Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a breathtaking, ancient rainforest. You'll check into the Gorilla Leisure Lodge, where you can relax to the sounds of the wilderness and prepare for the monumental experience ahead.

Day 2: The Majesty of Mountain Gorillas
After an early breakfast and briefing, you will enter the dense, verdant jungle of Bwindi for your gorilla trekking adventure. The trek is a profound and humbling experience, leading you through a mystical landscape to find a habituated family of endangered mountain gorillas. You will spend a magical hour observing them as they feed, play, and interact—a truly life-changing encounter. Afterward, you'll transfer north, enjoying scenic views en route to Kibale National Park, where you will overnight at the unique Turaco Treetops.

Day 3: Chimpanzees & Community Culture
Today, you delve into the "Primate Capital of the World," Kibale National Park, for a thrilling chimpanzee trek. The forest echoes with their energetic hoots and calls as you track these charismatic apes through the canopy. Watching their complex social dynamics is mesmerizing. In the afternoon, experience authentic Ugandan life with a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This community-run project is rich in birdlife and monkeys and offers a fascinating insight into local traditions and conservation efforts. You return to Turaco Treetops for your final night in the wild.

Day 4: Scenic Return to Kigali
After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy the beautiful landscapes one last time on your transfer back to Kigali, filled with a lifetime of memories from the heart of the African jungle.
